Please keep my mother-in-law in your prayers. She was rushed to the hospital yesterday afternoon for an irregular heartbeat. My wife just came in and the Dr. has asked for the family to meet with her in the morning. She mentioned hospice.

Update: She has had several rough nights unable to sleep. There is fluid around her heart and lungs and the lower left lung has collapsed. her heart was out of rhythm and they had to shock her Friday and it is out of rhythm again today. the cancer is spreading and the Dr.s are saying she may have a month left.

Another Update: She had surgery this afternoon and they removed  4 liters of fluid from around her lungs. They think her collapsed lung will inflate and she should be breathing better. They were able to shock her heart and get it back into rhythm, it was beating 170 times a minute and it is now down to the 70 - 80 range.  She was resting comfortably when we left the hospital tonight.

Father,

You know what is best for Heff's mother in law and I submit his mom to your hand because I DO trust You.  If she is not saved then have your mercy on her by give her little more time to get message of salvation. I know you are not willing for anyone to perish. If she is saved, comfort her as well as strength her to endure until you say time to go home and well done my faithful servant! Thank you for listening our agreement of prayer. In Jesus Christ's name, AMEN!

My wife called me this afternoon. Her mother has taken a turn for the worse.  They put her on morphine and said she could go any time.  She is a Christian so please keep my wife and her family in your prayers. Please say an extra prayer for my daughter as they were extremely close.

Knowing that she is a Christian should be comforting. Losing a mom or grandmother is still hard. I will keep her and your family in prayer.

When I have the opportunity to visit someone who is terminal, even if they profess to be a Christian, I still go through the plan of Salvation with them to make sure they fully understand what it is to be "saved". If a Christian, it is a matter of getting them to agree with or acknowledge each step of the plan of Salvation. It is one more way to make sure they are truly saved before they depart. I still remember my own grandmother's last four words to us on Earth:
"Yes, I know Jesus". There is a lot more to that story which makes it a great testimony years later.

I will leave it to you with respect to your mother-in-law.

My mother in law is back home now with the aid of hospice.  She had a bad day today but we are not sure if it is the cancer, pneumonia,  or the combination of morphine and codeine in her cough syrup or a combinaton of the above.  It is all in God'e hands.

Thanks for all your prayers. Carole, my mother in law has went on to be with Jesus.  She went in her sleep and did not suffer. Please keep the family in your prayers as she will be dearly missed.  Please keep my wife in your prayers as she has been the one the family has leaned on and depended on to handle things. Also please keep my daughter in your prayers as she was extremely close to her Grandmother.

My daughter has good days and bad. She misses her grandmother terribly, she lost both grandmothers less that a year apart. My wife is still dealing with the bills and helping her father notify the bank, social security, medicare .......  They spent the day today taking the death certificates to everyone that requires one.  She has been so busy taking care of her father and finalizing the estate I really don't think it has really set in that her mother is gone.
